indian smokey eye makeup

Hello everyone! The eyeshadow palette that I am going to review today is not a new product by any means. In fact this palette is a year old.

I don’t wear eyeshadows on daily basis, so I couldn’t convince myself to get this eyeshadow palette earlier. But I was so drawn towards the colors in this palette that I decided whenever I will buy any new eyeshadow palette, I’ll go for this one!

About the Palette

This palette has five mattes and one shimmer shade.  The shade names are:

  • Inhale

Inhale is a light beige shade with a warm-yellow undertone and satin sheen. Although this shade is lightest in the palette, it has opaque pigmentation and it blends out nicely.

  • Vibrate

Vibrate is a light, peachy brown shade with a warm undertone. It has matte finish. The pigmentation is good but not too opaque. It is quite buildable but only if you apply the eyeshadow primer first, the color doesn’t show much on bare skin.

  • Hot Spell

Hot Spell is a light-medium brown shade with a warm-orange undertone. This, too, has a matte finish. It has good color payoff with a soft, blend-able consistency.

  • Wild Thing

Wild Thing is a bright, medium-dark orange with warm-rusty undertone and has a matte finish too. It is very pigmented shade yet very easy to apply on the lid. It blends out like butter.

  • Heist

Heist is a medium-dark brown with warm-orange undertone and has a matte finish. This shade too, has very good pigmentation and it is quite build-able.

  • Strike

Strike is a deep, plummy brown shade with warm undertone. This shade has also a matte finish and blends out easily like most of other shades. This shade is darkest in the palette. It is comparatively little patchy but since it is build-able like other shades, so its not bad either.

Review & Swatches

After using this palette for couple of times, I think I am totally in love with this palette! I tell you why:

1. Its a travel friendly eyeshadow palette with a perfect size which has an in-built mirror inside.

2. Almost all the shades in the palette provide great color payoff.

3. Most of the shadows are long-lasting. We’re talking 7 to 8 hours without touch-up.

4. It compliments my skin tone very well. As both the ‘skin texture’ and ‘color’ of my eyelids is quite different from my entire face (skin), I usually don’t find many eyeshadows flattery on me. But this one, I really, honestly loved! Also, it is so easy for me to mix the colors of this eyeshadows with the eyeshadows of other palettes that I already have!
