Revlon has launched its Iconic “Super Lustrous” Lipsticks in 24 Matte Shades recently. The shade range of this lipstick collection varies from Nudes to Mid tone Pinks to Plums to Reds and even some fun colors like Purple and Black.

Packaging:
The packaging of this lipstick looks really high end. It has a beautiful black velvet matte tube, with a gold trim on the top.
You can get an idea of all the shades from this collection in the pictures down below:

I’ve got shade name Untold Stories from this collection. Each lipstick in this collection retails for $9.49 and the quantity of the product is 0.15 oz in each bullet. This shade ‘Untold Stories’ is a very pretty nude pink shade with blush undertones.

Formula:
The lipstick has a very lightweight formula. It feels rich and moisturizing on the lips.
According to the brand: The formula of this lipstick is infused with a luxurious botanical blend of agave, moringa oil, and cupuacu butter to help your lips feel supple and look smooth.

Review:
The lipstick feels very smooth on the lips when you first apply it on. The pigmentation level is really good, even though this is a light shade. It doesn’t contain any scent either. But it is not completely transfer-proof. Even though the formula feels hydrating on the lips, I suggest both exfoliating and moisturizing your lips prior to the application of this lipstick, for a smooth finish. Unfortunately, this doesn’t last long. It stayed on my lips for about 3-4 hours, and then I noticed some fading. I had just one meal before it was completely gone from my lips and I had to re-apply it.
Here are some Pros and Cons of this lipstick that I’d like to share:
Pros
- Very Moisturizing
- No scent (good for those who prefer it)
- Feels lightweight on lips
- Truly Matte with a light sheen finish
- High Pigment payoff on ONE swipe across lips
- Glides on smooth without tugging
Cons
* Not transfer-proof, smudge-proof or waterproof
* Not long-wearing, will fade in few hours and/or need to reapply
Swatches:

Overall, I personally would like to try few other colors too, because this is an affordable matte lipstick option with such pretty shades available at drugstore. I like the fact that it doesn’t have cheap scent or quality for that matters. I hope this helps 🙂
Have you tried any shade from this range yet? If yes, which one and what are your thoughts on it. Do share 🙂 ❤
See y’all soon in the next post!
until then…
I have all the retro Revlon colors that they introduced in the 1950’s, but they aren’t mattes. I’m excited that they made mattes. I can’t wait to try Cherries in the Snow and some of the newer colors!

Smashbox’s INSTA-MATTE will turn any regular lipstick matte. I’m not sure if they still produce it though. It works well. However, it does entail the extra step of patting it on.

All those colors are gorgeous and that light pink nude color you have is really pretty. I feel like with any lipstick you always need to reapply or maybe it’s just me. ♥
