My Favorite Lipsticks for Spring

The most wonderful thing about spring time is that it feels really good getting outdoors again and it looks so colorful everywhere. On makeup front, the arrival of Spring means a slight change in makeup for me, mostly my lipstick colors.

I was going though my makeup over the weekend, picking out the items that I thought will be appropriate for the season. And, In today’s post I’m going to share all the lipsticks that I think I’ll be reaching for the most this Spring. So without further ado, here are my favorite lipsticks for spring.

Kat Von D Lolita II

Lolita II is a liquid lipstick and described as ‘terracotta nude.’ It’s a muted, medium corally nude with warm undertones and an ultra matte finish. It gives me a long-lasting wear and the pigmentation is amazing too. Here’s how it looks on my skin:

Mac Mull It Over ( + Mac Lip Pencil ‘Fruit Cocktail’)

‘Mull It Over’ is a muted coral with warm undertone and a semi-matte finish. It has semi-opaque color payoff. It has a lightweight velvety consistency.  This lipstick is from their ‘Powder Kiss Lipstick’ range.

As I mentioned, that it has a semi-opaque color payoff, so I like to combine this lipstick with a lip liner from called ‘Fruit Cocktail’ which is from MAC cosmetics as well.

MAC ‘Fruit Cocktail’ is an orange toned bright coral shade. I often use this lip liner shade to mix with different shades to give the lipstick a different look. But again, it can be worn alone as well.  It is creamy and strongly pigmented.

Sephora Rouge Gel Lip Liner  09 Nectarine

This creamy gel lip liner is softer than a traditional liner. It is formulated with a gel-cream finish for an enhanced, smooth look without dullness.

The shade ‘Nectarine’,  is a semi- matte coral shade with a hint of orange hue. I find it perfect for every skin tone considering its bright summery finish.  Here’s how it looks on me:

Loreal Colour Riche 711 At The Drop Of A Matte

‘Drop Of A Matte’ is a beautiful lilac/lavender lipstick with warm pink undertones. This lipstick stays put for a good amount of time. Even though it has matte finish yet it looks very hydrating on lips.

Mac (Retro Matte) Flat Out Fabulous

‘Flat Out Fabulous’ is a beautiful plum matte lipstick by MAC Cosmetics. According to me, it is a bright fuchsia matte with a strong plum undertone. It is a vivid and bright shade, and so much more gorgeous on the lips than in the tube. The shade just pops against my skin tone. I think it’s a really flattering color on anyone from fair to dark skin tones. Here’s how it looks on my skin:

So these were some of my favorite lipsticks for spring season. I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know in the comments what are your favorite spring lipsticks this year? Will love to hear from you! 🙂
