Ideas to Spend Mother’s Day With Kids

Mother’s day is just around the corner.  Its a wonderful occassion and great opportunity for kids to celebrate their mom for all her efforts and hard-work. But if you’re a mom yourself (specially of little ones), then planning this day is your job too, just like every other occasion 😉 . And I’m sure by now you must have figured something out! But if not, then don’t worry at all. I am here to help 🙂 .

In today’s blogpost, I am sharing few ideas about how you can spend this wonderful occasion with your kids and make this day memorable for them and yourself! Please keep reading to know more.

Do Some Gardening

Gardening with children is a great fun activity. From planning and craft-making to planting and harvesting, you can treat your kids any time! Visit the local nursery and have kids pick out some new flowers or vegetables for garden, and then plant them together when you get home.

Plan a Hike

Kids are very energetic by nature. If your child love to run around, then this could be a fun pack activity. Pick a short, interesting hike and allow your child enough time to investigate all the interesting things along the way. To start, choose a place close to home so your children don’t get restless too soon.

Go Bowling

Bowling can be another fun activity for you to do together with your kids. Most bowling alleys provide the ramp, that can be used by children if they can’t throw the ball themselves. You just place the ball at the top of the ramp and they will push it down. You’ll just have to see the excitement on their face 🙂 .

Plan a Picnic

Who doesn’t like good ol’ picnics? Kids love picnics more than we adults do. Plan an outdoor picnic.  Pick a spot and make it special by involving your kids in all the planning like choosing the food menu and games to play etc. The beautiful outdoors, a loving family togetherness, and delicious food will make for lasting memories.

A Day at Amusement Park

Amusement parks can be 50/50 for some moms and kids, but for more adventurous moms and kids, this could be one of the most fun ways to celebrate Mother’s Day. Head to a local amusement park and enjoy the rides with your kids before you turn too old to do that 😉 .

How About a Tea Party

Tea parties are the best. Specially with your little ones 🙂 . Mother’s Day falls during that wonderful time of year when the weather is pleasantly warm and not too hot. A garden tea party (maybe just in your backyard) would be a special and elegant way to celebrate this day. So, why not!

Go Strawberry Picking

Spring is the perfect time for strawberry picking, what do you say? Find a farm near you that will let your whole family come out and pick some strawberries. Don’t forget to bring your camera and capture all the fun memories that you’ll make while berry-picking!

A Short Day (Road) Trip

Road trips can be a great way to bond with your family. Google the nearby stops from your place and plan a one or two day short trip. Try to pick the scenic and interesting route for a more memorable drive. Sometimes, half the fun and adventure of the vacation can be in getting there!

Find the Local Events in Your Town

Try searching for Mother’s Day events in your town or city.  You may be able to see if there are any special events being put on, such as a mother’s day brunch etc. If yes, then start your day by enjoying the brunch with your family and later pick any one activity from this list to make your day excellent 😉 .

How are you moms planning to spend this day with your kids and family? Don’t forget to share but whatever you do, make sure to have loads of fun 🙂

Wishing y’all wonderful moms a Happy Mother’s Day. Enjoy!

See you soon in the next post. Until then…
