L’oreal has come with another collection of new matte lipsticks. You might have already heard about the launch of ‘Color Riche Matte Addiction’ earlier this year. However, this is altogether a new ‘Matte’ lipstick collection by L’oreal. And to my surprise, I saw this collection only at Ulta (wondering)!

There are total 16 shades in this collection, but only 12 shades are available at Ulta.

I purchased 4 lipsticks for the price of $8.99 (USD) each. The quantity in each tube is 0.13 oz. I am trying these lipsticks for a week now and I am all set to share my views on this collection. Please stay tuned to read the review along with swatches!

According To L’oreal:

These are rich creamy matte lipsticks with intense hydration for comfortable wear while keeping the lips hydrated.
No feathering.
No bleeding.

My Thoughts In A Nutshell:

First of all, as the brand suggests that these are the ‘Creamy Matte’ lipsticks, so these are! The finish is more of creamy than matte. I find these to be more moisturizing than I expected from a matte lipstick.

These lipsticks are very hydrating and while removing the makeup at the end of the day, these come off nicely, leaving a light stain on the lips, but without any trace of dryness. Quality is good. There was no feathering or bleeding during the application. These are enriched with Jojoba oil to make the lipsticks more comfortable to wear.

These lipsticks don’t fully set on the lips meaning these are transferable, NOT kiss proof! Total wearing time is 3-4 hours roughly, with a slight amount of fading that starts after 2 (approximately) hours of wearing the lipstick. The pigmentation level is good.

The one thing that I didn’t quite like about these lipsticks is the scent! It feels like the scent of some low quality lip product, its little too sharp for me, personally! So, If I have to rate these lipsticks, I’d give 7 out of 10.

NOTE: If you’re thinking of getting any of these, just be aware that the colour might be different on your lips from what you see in the tube!
