Summer Essentials

Summer is not officially here yet, but I, sure am in summer state of mind. The summer months means lot of skin exposure. And to keep ourselves safe from harmful UV rays, we all need some sort of sun protection in one or the other way.

Hence, in today’s post, I’m listing few items that I absolutely love and use everyday during summer months. I consider these items as “essentials” that help me to survive the hot weather!

SPF For Face

All sunscreens do NOT work the same.

Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen SPF 45 is a revolutionary, dermatologist -tested formula that contains Helioplex technology, the latest breakthrough in UV protection. Helioplex delivers unbeatable UVA protection.

It works better to help prevent damaging UVA rays from penetrating deep under skin’s surface.

SPF For Body

This sunscreen goes on in a soft mist,71TS5gM+xHL._SY450_ ensuring coverage for every inch of skin.

This SPRAY-ON sun protection is the best defense against wrinkles, sun spots and sun damage.

I like to use my in-shower moisturizer first and then I apply it on my skin all over just before leaving the house. Its that easy of a job 🙂

SPF For Lips

Maybelline-Lip-Balm-Baby-Lips-Quenched-041554264524-O

SPF is as important as for lips as it is for our face and body. A moisturising lip balm that contains spf is the best protection that you can provide to your lips.

This one, from maybelline contains spf 20 and I absolutely love using it on my lips wether I am indoor or outdoor during the hot months.

Sunglasses

Forget bug-eye plastic sunglasses. This summer, make sure, your  sunglasses are polarized, because there’s nothing chic about crow’s-feet.

Look for sunglasses that protect you from 99 to 100 percent of both UVA and UVB light. This includes those labeled as “UV 400,” which blocks all light rays with wavelengths up to 400 nanometers.

John Frieda Frizz Ease Hairspray

2158967

For so many of us, summer hair is nothing to brag about. It’s dry and unmanageable.

Many of us prefer to have an anti-frizz spray handy so we can fix untidy hair no matter where we’re heading.

I normally do not use any spray in my hair but my hair immediately gets frizzy when the humidity level rises.

This hairspray holds the frizz down without making my hair stiff.

Dove Powder Deodorant

Dove is my usual deodorant brand because of the effectiveness, and the quality and its not harsh on skin.

The smell is perfect and neutral. It’s fresh, but not floral, or too strong. It moisturizes the pit skin and don’t make it dry at all.

Burt Bees Facial Cleansing Towelletes

b1d4b468-8c11-427c-a34e-292bdbdc7b7a.JPG._CB292635261_On very hot days, I like to keep my face bare minimum (meaning no foundation, blush, concealer etc). Just Sunscreen, waterproof kajal and waterproof mascara with a little bit of tinted lipbalm would do just fine for me.

So, whenever I’m out, I like to keep my face clean and fresh. I use this product for cleaning my face really quickly to re-apply the sunscreen on my face and neck and it works nicely! Of course it doesn’t give you the same refreshingly clean feeling as washing your face, since it’s a wipe.

Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs

2278283

This transfer-resistant spray provides a perfectly smooth, even tan. It conceals scars, bruises, and freckles and is enriched with Vitamin K to help fade imperfections.

It dries within minutes, goes on evenly and won’t transfer onto your clothes. Unlike a gradual self-tanner, this one washes off in your next shower.

Germ-x Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer:

6136++O-upL._SX466_

At last but not least, this is one of the most important things that I keep almost in my every handbag: A hand sanitizer!

It smells good and it leaves my hands clean and  soft all year round, hence absolute essential.

  1. I’ve never tried the airbrush legs before, I’ve always wanted to but wasn’t sure how good it was! Maybe I will give it a try now it’s getting warmer here ☺️ xx
