Monthly Favorites

july favourites 2016

Summer has always been my favorite season of all. Especially, the place where I live, summers are not too harsh here. I believe, in summers like in any other season, body care (skin, hair etc) can be tricky as well. And it is advisable to update the body care routine  often. Personally I agree to that and this way I get a chance to try many products (good or bad) at different times of the year. Having that said, the products I’m loving currently I would like to share in this post under Monthly favorites. I guess this post is a teeny-tiny late for July favorites but since this is going to be my first monthly roundup post, I guess its still not too late 😉

OGX Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo

July fav

When it comes to hair I’d say I am not very comfortable to try as many products on my hairs. Therefore I like to do a lot of research before putting anything on my hairs. I do not like to use the products with very harsh chemicals, thus I got this one.

I’ve been using this shampoo from last few months now and I really liked the results. The formula in this product contains argan oil which works great for frizzy thin hair. It does add shine, volume to the hair and cleans the scalp thoroughly.

Shea Moisture 100% Pure Jamaican Black Castor Oil

We are all well-known with the benefits of coconut oil, but if you are someone like me who is suffering from bad hair health for long, you’d love to give this product a try. Castor oil controls hair loss and helps in hair growth.

Castor oil is very thick, which can make it hard to apply. What I do is I add one part of castor oil to one part of coconut oil, mix them well and apply, give a gentle scalp massage and leave the oil for 2-4 hours before wash as usual.

I’m doing this from last couple of weeks now (once a week) and I noticed less thinning and more volume. I am definitely going to add this product to my haircare regimen for life (I guess 🙂 )

Aveeno® Protect + Hydrate™ Lotion Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50

This next product is normal everyday use facial product, which I love using on my face everyday. What I love about this product is that it does not leave that stickiness on the skin. It provides perfect amount of moisturizer and it feels very light on the skin after application. Not many sunscreens I’ve used so far impressed me the way this one did! This product is oil-free, sweat and water resistant for 80 minutes with fast absorbing formula.

Banana Oat Instant Smoothing Mask

The other thing I’m mentioning in favorites, which I believe, is a pure necessity in summers. Everyone likes to use face masks which can replenish the damaged skin cells due to the excessive exposure in sun.

I got this mask last month and used few times. It smells delish. It calms and nourishes the skin in an instant. Although summers are not so brutal here but this cooling mask is something I look forward to continue during this time of the year.

Origins Drink Up™ Intensive Overnight Mask

“A luxurious night time mask to quench skin’s thirst” as stated… and trust me it knows how to do its job well. Its a great option for those who have dry or combination skin. It dosn’t contain any harsh chemicals like parabens or sulfates. Since its an overnight mask, it does feel very (little) sticky but not something uncomfortable to sleep in. It has a subtle smell which is tolerable. I use this mask once or twice a week on my face and leave it on my face overnight. It makes my skin feel amazing and fresh the following day.

MARC JACOBS Daisy Eau So Fresh Eau de Toilette

This one was my first ever Marc jacob’s purchase in fragrance department and I am totally flattered by it since the day I got it. It has such a nice summery,  light and floral fragrance which makes it best for everyday use.

• Topnotes: Natural Raspberry, Grapefruit, Pear
• Midnotes: Violet, Wild Rose, Apple Blossom
• Basenotes: Musks, Cedarwood, Plum

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick

Sheer Liar from Urban Decay’s Vice Lipstick collection (launched recently) is the one thing that I wore every single day on my lips previous month. I’m truly obsessed and had no reason to not add this product to the favorites list! If you want to check more details (swatches + review) on this product, please check the following link:

Revlon® Nail Enamel – 165 Romantique

This nail polish from Revlon is absolutely amazing as the color is so beautiful, perfect for the summer when everywhere you see trending the blush pink tones, you just can’t resist this one!

This pretty much wraps up my favorites for July month. Hope you had a wonderful month of July. What have you been loving this/previous month? Have you tried any of the products in today’s post? If so, what do you think of them?

Happy August 🙂 and see you soon in the next post.

Until then…

    • Thank you so much for stopping by Karishma ❤ If you have very dry skin, I'd suggest this product is worth a try… But I'd suggest to try the small pack first, if your skin will response well, then go ahead, as all skin types are different! The things which work for one person mightn't work well for someone else. 🙂 Hope you've a great day!
