MAYBELLINE ‘The Blushed Nudes’ Palette

The Blushed Nudes

I recently purchased Maybelline “The Blushed Nudes Eyeshadow Palette” from http://www.ulta.com for $9.99.

I wanted to try this palette for so long. I’m glad I finally did. So here are my (super late 😀 ) thoughts on this palette.

There are total 12 shades in this palette and it comes with 2 applicators. The quality of eyeshadows in this palette is actually very good.

I love all the colors in this palette … but sadly they take a little extra effort to show up on my skin tone.

So when they say “nude” they literally mean nude with a pinkish/blushed undertones which I think is actually a good option for everyday natural wearable eyelook on super affordable price!

As for the texture, overall, there is only 1 matte shade in this palette, rest are either shimmery or pearly.

In my personal opinion, it takes a little more work to build up the required colors though, but a couple extra layers with refined work will do the trick. I do want to mention that the colors are not very long-lasting for oily eyelids. So to avoid early wear-off, be sure to use an eyeshadow primer and a setting spray.

So overall I give this product 7 out of 10.

Alternate Options to this palette:
Urban Decay Naked 3
Loreal Rose for Romance
Nyc Midtown Mauve

How was your experience with this palette. I would love to know it all 😀

Until then…

  1. This looks like a nice everyday palette.I too face the same problems of eyeshadows not showing up as I also have a bit dark skin on my eyelids.Loved your clicks, they are very clean and well shot.Loved your blog too.Lovely EOTD.

    • Thank You Yamini for your love and support 🙂 For dark eyelids I tried using foundation only (without any eyeshadow primer or eyeshadow base). That worked well for me. Give it a try… just try NOT to use oily-skin foundation on eyelids if you use one… ❤ .

  2. Love the pictures! I dont know why these palettes from Maybelline seem a bit sad on the pigmentation to me. I’ve never bought any of these for that very reason

    • I agree Harman… but since this is my first ‘Maybelline eyeshadow’ (palette)… so my experience was 50-50. For me this palette works best if I combine it with other eyeshadows (probably from other brands) and work in layers 🙂 ❤
